Ceramics & Sculpture

Animal Sculpture

Join PCA&M’s current Ceramic Artist in Residence, Katie Botterman, for this 4-week class focused on handbuilding and sculpture! Using the solid-build technique, students will make a sculpture of an animal in a dynamic pose of their choosing. During the last class, students will have to opportunity to explore glazing techniques using underglazes that provide a variety of color options for their works. Previous handbuilding experience helpful but not necessary, as this is a beginner-friendly class. Come to class with an animal in mind and reference photos (printed or digital is fine). Tuition includes clay, tools, and glazes.
