Creative Writing

Online: Screenwriting: Queer Stories

Screenwriting: Queer Stories is a class tailored toward writers in the LGBTQ+ community and queer allies. Centered around analyzing queer films, TV shows, and screenplays, and eventually outlining and writing our own scripts, students will embark on a writing journey through the lens of queer cinema. In the end, not only will writers go through the process of creating their own LGBTQ+ screenplays, but they will also gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between the film industry and queer identity. In this unique, one-of-a-kind online class, students will have the opportunity to learn directly from writer and director, Miko Reyes, who currently lives in LA and works in the industry.

This class will be held online, via Zoom. Students must be 18 years of age or older.
