Fiction Writing Workshop
Writers’ workshops are an integral part of developing as a writer. Through reading their work aloud and analyzing the work of others, writers are able to hone their craft and improve projects they’ve already started. In this eight-week fiction workshop, students will engage in weekly critiques of their work and their classmates’ work. We will focus on what is working and not working in each story, and why. Through these discussions we will learn something more significant about craft. Class meetings will also include time for in-class writing exercises and discussions of other assigned readings, including craft essays and short stories. This class is open to writers of all backgrounds whose goal is to improve their fiction writing.
All students must be 18 years of age or older.
