Kurinuki Cups Workshop
Join us for this workshop with Audra Clayton where students will be guided in the unique process of hand making a kurinuki cup—no experience necessary. While most ceramic processes involve building your project, we will instead start with a block of clay and carve our cups into existence. We will cut and manipulate the surfaces of the cups to create interesting surfaces to hold and admire. Participants will have the opportunity to make up to two small sippers great for your favorite relaxing beverage. After our workshop, PCA&M studio staff will stain students’ cups to highlight their interesting outsides and glaze the insides for food safe surfaces.
