Master Class: Consider the Teapot

Come join us for a hands-on, creative journey into the world of ceramic teapots! In this two-day workshop, we’ll explore the endless possibilities of teapot design while experimenting with both handbuilding and wheel-throwing techniques. Together, we’ll learn how to shape and assemble thedifferent parts, so they work beautifully as a whole, creating functional pieces that feel uniquely yours. Through engaging demonstrations, thoughtful discussions, and interactive exercises, we’ll dive intothe rich history and artistry of teapots. You’ll have the chance to develop your personal style and express your voice through this fascinating form. We’ll also explore surface decoration techniques for greenware, adding finishing touches that bring your teapots to life. This workshop is open to all skill levels—whether you’re new to clay or have some experience, you’ll find plenty of inspiration and support along the way. Come ready to play, experiment, and make something special!
