What a Hoot! Owl Chase-Weave Tea Light

Celebrate the colors and coziness of autumn in this fun, all-skill-levels basketry workshop. In this one-day class, students will weave an adorable owl-shaped tea light lantern featuring a glass insert for safe illumination. Along the way, participants will learn several basketry techniques, including a spider web base, twining, chase weave for the body, and Japanese weave for the owl’s expressive eyes. Combining texture, pattern, and seasonal charm, this project is both decorative and functional. Students will leave with a whimsical, handcrafted owl tea light that brings a warm glow to fall décor. Students will need to bring clothes pins and a dish towel. Materials fee of $15 payable to the instructor the day of class.
