Needle Felted Ornaments

Needle felting is a popular fiber arts craft where special needles are used by the artist as a sculpting tool. The notched needles grab the fibers to be felted (usually wool) tangling compressing and attaching them to each other or to a fiber base. Once tangled and compressed using the needle, the felt is strong and can used for creating jewelry, decoration or sculpture. This class will teach the basics of needle felting. Participants will have the opportunity to create a holiday ornament. Materials fee of $5 payable to instructor day of class.
