Sophia Marie Pappas

Sophia is an illustrator and letterpress printer in Pittsburgh, PA. She operates Studio PDP, her letterpress and illustration studio in Millvale, PA. Studio PDP offers freelance illustration services, custom letterpress printing, and her own line of stationary products for sale in her mini storefront.

As an editorial illustrator Sophia creates work for magazines, publishing, and businesses. She’s had the pleasure of working with The New Yorker, The New York Times, Google’s San Francisco offices, F&W Media, Big Burrito Restaurant Group, NPR, AIGA Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Quarterly and American Greetings. She is also a frequent illustrator for the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing, Eater, and Edible Reno-Tahoe.

Sophia enjoys meeting students where they’re at and sharing tools to help build their own personal art practice. Sophia has years of experience with both digital and traditional media and hopes to impart some of that experience to students who take her classes.
