Rona Chang
Rona Chang, the creative force behind OTTO FINN, is a Taiwanese-born artist who found her creative home in New York City. With a background in printmaking and photography from The Cooper Union School of Art, Rona combines her artistic skills with a deep appreciation for cultural exchange.
Her bicultural upbringing in Taiwan and NYC has shaped her artistic perspective, fostering a profound openness to the richness of diverse ideas. Drawing inspiration from her extensive experience working in museum environments and engaging with art collections, Rona’s unique style at OTTO FINN showcases textiles that with rich histories and feature bold colors or prints.
During her time working with the Japanese woodblock prints and Indian paintings in the Asian Art department at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rona found a deep wellspring of inspiration that continues to influence her work today. Through OTTO FINN, she celebrates the fusion of cultures and the power of textiles to convey narratives and ignite imagination.
