Michael Cappela

Michael has been a business and technology consulting and IT leader in organizations across for-profit and non-profit sectors for the past 30 years. He has led many complex strategy, solutioning and technology/organizational transformations. He holds a B.A. in Media Communications and an M.S. in Information Sciences. Early in his career, Michael put his B.A. degree to work as a videographer and editor in TV News and was an avid B&W photographer, developing and printing his work. Many of his photos have been displayed on walls of his homes for decades. Starting in 2025, Michael is transitioning his career again, but this time to focus on his passions for education, non-profit and the arts. He is thrilled to be a member of the board and is committed to helping elevate the PCA&M even higher to not just be the premier arts and education organization in Pittsburgh, but across our region.
