Summer Camp Cancellation
Written: December 1, 2012May 18th, 2020
Dear Friends of Pittsburgh Center for Arts and Media,
As some of you may already know, last Friday, the City of Pittsburgh announced that summer camps, along with many other summer gatherings, cannot comply safely with social distancing and will not be allowed this summer as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 crisis.
It is with heavy hearts that we must cancel our in-person summer camps for the summer of 2020. While we are disappointed that we must make this decision, it is one that will keep everyone safe. If you have signed up your children for a camp with us, you will be receiving an email directly about the refund process.
This does not mean that we will have no summer programming for children and teens this summer. We have a long history of offering a wide-variety of studio and media arts camps for children and teens ages 6 – 17 years old. The summertime is our most vibrant time as an arts center, our studios filled with students eager to learn and create. That is why we are working hard to develop online options so that we can continue to serve the creative youth of our city, just in a different way than we’re accustomed to.
Please check our website in the month of June for our new summer youth programming, and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at info@pghartsmedia.org.
Sincerely,
Pittsburgh Center for Arts and Media
