Your Voice in Mixed Media (HS)

Everyone has something to say, even you! Our voices matter, but how do we best express our ideas and thoughts to those around us? In this camp, we’ll take inspiration from artists such as Jenny Holzer, Barbara Kruger, and Shepard Fairey to create art that speaks–beyond social media and the internet! We’ll explore zines, posters, collages, and word art while learning how to take our big ideas and hone them into messages ready to share with others. You’ll leave this camp with an understanding of how mixed media artforms provide a unique opportunity to share your thoughts in creative ways and the power of art in shaping our communities.
