Writing the Memoir

Everyone has a story to tell. In this class, students will explore their own stories through the art of memoir writing. After reading and discussing selections from classic and contemporary memoirs, students will reflect on their own memories to compose a short memoir, connecting their personal experiences to the wider world. Student memoirs will be workshopped and revised to create compelling narratives drawn from their own lived-experience. This class will be held online, via Zoom.
