Motion Graphics with After Effects

Learn how to use After Effects to create motion media. We will begin with ideation and development techniques to design student projects. Then we will practice the processes and techniques needed to execute one’s video. Final project options include: an animation, video with animated typography, abstract/experimental art film, prototypes for animated UX/UI webpages, and more. Artists already practicing specific media disciplines, such as photography, film, graphic design, illustration, animation, and sound design are welcome to transport ideas into the motion design space. We will explore a variety of softwares and techniques, including After Effects, Photoshop, editing with Premiere, 3D modeling, and front-end web animation.
