Intro to Smartphone Filmmaking for Social Media & Beyond
This class is for students who are interested in learning how to make films with a tool they carry around in their pocket every day: the smartphone. At the end of the four-week class, students will have an understanding of the technical components that make up a film, how to turn a concept into reality, and hands-on experience shooting and editing a work of their own. Each session will include film clips, readings for further learning, and practical objectives that will grow their understanding of how to tell stories with film. The class will be for those interested in social media videos, but depending on the students, the class has the ability to shift to a more film-focused curriculum.
