Intermediate B&W Photography

In this intermediate black and white photography course you’ll learn how to use medium format cameras, advanced darkroom printing techniques, and archival printing on fiber paper. Regular critiques will help improve your printing and composition skills throughout the course. Experiment with toy cameras and different types of black and white film. Students are encouraged to purchase film and photo paper, chemistry is provided by PCA&M. This class is perfect for students who have taken our Intro to Darkroom Photography class and are looking to further their skills, or students who have previous darkroom experience who are hoping to take their knowledge to the next level. If you do not have previous darkroom experience, we recommend you start with our Intro to Black and White Photography class prior to taking this class.

All students must be 18 years of age or older.
