Handbuilding for the Wheelthrower

Handbuilding skills can enhance your skills on the potter’s wheel, whether you are a seasoned wheelthrower or are still waiting for your chance to give it a try. This class is designed to strengthen your work and enhance your understanding of functional pottery. In this class we will cover ideas of addition and subtraction, surface enhancements, and what makes a well-balanced, yet interesting, form. This class includes Zoom demos and opportunities to ask questions coupled with your own clay time at home. Clay will be provided for you to use at home and the finished work will be fired for you at the studio.
