Collagraph Printmaking: Experimental Image Making
Collagraph is a a method of printmaking using collaged materials to form a relief surface with a variety of textures. In this class, you will learn how to make a collagraph print using a variety of techniques involving found objects, collaging, and mark-making. We will discuss inventive ways to create and print a matrix without a press. This class emphasizes experimental approaches to image making and is suitable for artists of any experience level. Students will be provided with instructional handouts and a kit of necessary tools and materials. All instruction, live demos, art-sharing, and discussion will occur over Zoom.
