Animation Crash Course

This is a drawing and media course that will help students begin to explore the basic mechanics and techniques of traditional 2-d animation such as storyboarding, character development and the principles of animation. In this short workshop, students will create a variety of animated exercises and clips using programs like StopMotion Studio, Adobe Animate and Flipaclip. Students will learn a history of animation through lectures and screenings. And we will also explore and discuss examples of 2-d animation in contemporary media, art and experimental animation as well.
