Monsters, Wizards, and Magical Things (Ages 6-8)
Travel to a magical realm where dragons and wizards roam. Transform a mythical creature in your mind into reality through 2-D sketches and 3-D maquettes. Expand your wizard horizons as you conduct experiments to create colorful potions and conjure up rhythmic spells. Complete your magical experience by constructing a magical wand, sculpting a companion animal, and designing enchanting costumes.
Animal Art-topia
Make art inspired by your favorite furry friends! Experiment with 2D and 3D processes like printmaking and assemblage as you create with fabric, cardboard, paints, and (faux) fur to build a dream animal shelter model, make pet portraits on canvas, and even design clever pet toys.
Art Garden
Nature lovers and art lovers alike, let your creativity take root! Help create and maintain an art garden, growing flowers and vegetables on PCA&M grounds. Combine the beauty of natural and man-made art by installing sculptures and building planters to adorn the outdoor garden space. Take inspiration from the natural world as you create various artworks, and work with fellow art gardeners to build a final, collaborative masterpiece.

Create a creature that craws across the land, imagine a terrain, and experience an extraterrestrial adventure like none before you! Learn how to portray the characteristics of life in space through drawing, painting, paper mache, and more.
Furry and Scaly
Jump into the wild during a week filled with friends from the outdoors. We’ll be experimenting with textures in drawings, paintings, and sculptures as we learn about big cats, slimy snakes, and many other members of the animal kingdom. As the week progresses, we’ll adventure to different habitats around the world and transform our classroom into a kingdom of our own. Grab your safari hats and binoculars because we’re not in Pittsburgh anymore!
