The Art of Handmade Papermaking
In this 2-session workshop, students will dive into the ancient craft of handmade papermaking. We will explore various materials, techniques and tools needed to create our own paper, adding personal touches with organic materials such as flower petals and leaves. Students will leave with paper ready to use for their next project!
Mixed Media Explorations: Collage and Paper Art
In this class, students will utilize both digital and traditional media to create unique collages. We will combine digital photocollage techniques in Photoshop with handmade paper to create mixed-media artworks that experiment with layering, texture, and composition. Students will leave with an understanding of how to produce dynamic pieces that blend mediums. Previous experience with Photoshop is recommended.
Open Basketweaving Studio
Join Traycee Bosle for this 4-week open studio in basketweaving! Students will have the opportunity to select from a variety of projects Traycee has designed, having the freedom to build upon skills of their choosing under her guidance in this relaxed, informal class. Previous experience is required. Materials can be purchased from the instructor on the first day of class for a fee of $25.
Intro to Colored Pencils
Join Jennie Snyder for this drawing class focused on color! Learn the ins and outs of colored pencils and all they can do! In this all-levels course, you will learn how to apply, mix, layer and blend color, preserve luminosity and highlights, and how to use the color wheel for more neutral, realistic applications and shading. You can use coloring books, your own drawings and photos, and work directly from life depending on your skill level. If you loved coloring as a child, this is the class for you!
