Erin Bechtold

Erin Bechtold received a BFA in Photography from Point Park University and Pittsburgh Filmmakers in 2003. She was awarded an Emerging Photographers grant from Pittsburgh Filmmakers in 2002. Her work has been featured at the Silver Eye Center for Photography, Center for Emerging Visual Artists Philadelphia, Irma Freeman Center for Imagination, Pittsburgh City Paper, Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Spin.com, Second Scene magazine, and Black and White magazine. Drawing inspiration from classic films and early surrealism in her own work, she encourages students to experiment with film and darkroom printing to develop their own unique photographic style.
