Cuneiform Workshop

Join PCA&M Ceramics Artist in Residence, Katie Botterman, for this workshop focused on Cuneiform, the world’s oldest writing system which was originally written on clay tablets in ancient Mesopotamia. In this workshop students will receive a general overview of the history of cuneiform before learning to write English words in this beautiful script, both on paper and in clay. Come to class with some words or phrases you would like to write. You will receive the tools necessary to do so, and to decode the cuneiform writing featured on Katie’s works.
