Remake Learning Days: Handmade History! with teaching artist Katy DeMent

Join Pittsburgh Center for Arts and Media Papermaker/Teaching Artist Katy DeMent to create your own unique archival collage without glue! Bring a printed photo(s) from your family’s history to combine with other mementos, vintage ephemera, dried flowers, and various fibrous materials to create a personal visual narrative collage.

For those who are residents of Swissvale (not required!), Ms. DeMent will be bringing images from Swissvale’s history for you to use. Images of your collage may be included in the Carnegie Free Library of Swissvale’s  “105 Years of Swissvale History ” digital scrapbook as well as within the physical scrapbook to be placed in the time capsule that will be part of the renovated library.

Recommended for children ages 6 and up and their parent(s)/caregiver(s). This is a drop-inevent, no pre-registration is required.
