With a BFA from RISD, and a masters in museum education from Bank Street College, Kathleen (she/her) has spent the last 25 years in the non-profit sector as staff or faculty in a variety of educational institutions, and on various boards including the Gunn Memorial Library & Museum in Connecticut, The Gore Family Memorial Foundation Trust in Fort Lauderdale, and Pittsburgh Center for Arts & Media. In her 16 years of board service, she has participated in or chaired numerous committees and served as vice-president and president of PCA&M. A native Floridian, Kathleen spent most of her adult life in the greater New England and New York regions. She and her husband discovered Pittsburgh in 2016, and subsequently moved in 2017. She continued her work in education as a teaching artist at the Carnegie Museum of Art and an adjunct faculty member at Robert Morris University. In her free time, she fulfills her passion for creative thinking and inquiry by making jewelry for her company, beige, as well as by reading, writing, visiting museums and galleries, and spending time with family and friends.
