Barb Grossman has been an art lover and a maker her whole life. With a broad background and many people influencing her interests, she eventually started the Pittsburgh Knit, Crochet and Creative Arts Festival and was the Creative Director of the event for 16 years. The event was a journey in the fiber arts, fabric, needle arts and textile fields. Traveling to trade shows regularly throughout the 16 years gave Barb a unique opportunity to meet and study with the finest makers in the country. She brought many of these makers and teachers to teach classes and sell their wares at the annual event. Barb has a background and understanding of wet and needle felting, sewing, embroidery, hooking, knit and crochet, weaving, spinning, tatting, beading, and many other traditional and non traditional needle arts. With a passion for recycling, reusing and repurposing, Barb has brought creative classes and ideas to thousands of students in the region and is now beginning to teach classes. She loves to share her experience with others through teaching and networking.
