Emily Rago

Instructor

Emily J. Rago was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and works frequently with 35mm and medium format film. She received her BA in Film Studies from Richmond the American International University in London. While in undergrad, her installations and films appeared in several shows, galleries, and cinema houses. After completing undergrad, she moved to New York City and proceeded to work in the world of film with internships and positions in the Department of Film at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Emily now resides in Pittsburgh and is currently receiving her Master’s in Library and Information Science from The University of Pittsburgh. Since moving back, she has found herself working for The Andy Warhol Museum, The Senator John Heinz History Center, The Detre Library & Archives at The Senator John Heinz History Center as the Private Archivist for Vicky A. Clark, as well as teaching at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and Media (PCA&M). Her photographs and prints are currently on display at Exposure Gallery in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
